Place the print head in the center of the machine. Slightly loosen the bolts of the upper Z limit switch, so that you can move it up and down. Raise the Z stage (manually) until there is approximately 1 mm distance between the build plate and nozzle.
1/8/2018 · My Ultimaker 2+ uses the Ultigcode output from Cura so not sure it is as simple as editing the Gcode to change z height. I was was hoping that Cura would offer a feature for the 2+ to do this ?. i think someone mentioned that the Tinker version of firmware allows some adjustment , although I haven’t seen this documented and not sure about …
7/4/2017 · My glass bed is about 7mm thick and my printer Z height is 216mm and I do not use Cura to print, I use Repetier Host. With Cura my z -offset statement is G92 Z208.795. But if I was using Slic3r (this was about 3 years ago so it may have changed) I would have used the inverse i.e. G92 Z7.205.

3/16/2020 · It is possible to adjust the speed at which the skirt or brim is printed. Usually, this is similar to the initial layer speed. Maximum Z -speed. This setting changes the speed for all build plate moves during the print. This includes all layer changes and Z -hops. Normally the Z -speed is set at its maximum and capped by the firmware of the machine.
