Peridot even refered to Lapis Lazuli as her informant, not her prisoner – that suggests some form of co-operation and Lapis Lazuli was allowed enough freedom during her time with Peridot to access a communications device to warn Steven about an invasion – which doesn’t sound like she was being kept prisoner at that time.
Two and a half years after they left High School together, Lapis and Peridot have attempted to settle into a life with one another. But they are far from home, family and friends, and are swiftly leaving behind their teenage years as they embark on the difficult journey towards adulthood.
